Life on Mars

Note on "Beagle 2" so far no signal has been received. This is about the fourth Mars bound spacecraft capable to detecting life that has failed. This points to sabotage. There are a few powerful organisations, such as Freemasons and Christians who do not want life to be found outside the Earth. Some will stop at nothing to prevent its discovery. So probes that test for Geology and other physical, chemical and atmospheric data that cannot detect life are allowed to proceed but life detecting probes are sabotaged. If ever life is detected that information will be prevented from reaching the general population and will be forgotten. This has been the policy of Freemasons for 8000 years and Christians for 2000 years. People preaching the existence of life elsewhere are ridiculed and vilified.

It has come to my attention from several sources that Mars has blue skies and that there are green patches on the rocks. It has been said that the JPL operators in charge of matching the colour are putting a magenta mask on all the images. There is no much magenta that the true colour cannot be recovered.

This has been the policy of that laboratory from the first Viking images 30 years ago. Some unadulterated images have got out and seen by the public.

I suggest that someone is lying. It could be to do with religion, especially the Christian leadership or a Christian at the lab. Christians, especially fundamentalists, totally reject life outside the Earth and hide any contrary evidence.

Possible trace fossils

This image from the opportunity images seems to show another fossil within the black box. Similar to the curved image in the frame below but straighter.

The above image is taken by the opportunity (hf_mars_rotini_0403001_02) after the RAT had been at work. I do not know the scale but the object pointed to looks like a worm cast and if you look just to the right of it (pink arrow) there is a trace that might be the cast of the worm. There is another one further to the right and slightly higher up (Pink box).

The image on the left from the latest "spirit" images show the colour wheel at the same time as the Martian images, showing that the colour is close. However, there is nothing green in this image, indicating that there is no life present at this location. What a dissapointment!

The image above is image (op_heam-region_color) taken recently by "Opportunity". The rocky outcrop is abnormal in colour. If a rocky outcrop occurs here, on earth, it almost always grey or light grey. This image looks as if a magenta mask has been placed over it, possibly to hide the true colour. There is so much that attempts to make the outcrop appear grey by removing magenta make the whole scene green. However if the rocky outcrop is made grey using "levels" in Photoshop, the following image appears:

This shows a yellowish surface with grey outcrop. The joins between different frames are visible too. Note no green areas are visible. I suggest the "Opportunity" and "Spirit" operators re-calibrate their cameras again using the colour wheel on the rover or re-set the colours to those when it was calibrated before it left Earth. I have my doubts about the colour rendering as presented by the JPL photographic personnel.

This image (h_oppor_mplarge_0125_02) shows a light coloured jointed rock. If this was seen on Earth I would immediately think "Limestone Outcrop".

If this is Limestone then it would have been laid down under shallow water and may contain the calciferous remains of millions of Martian marine organisms. (!).

The rock on the right looks like the rock Spirit is investigating and does appear to have a greenish patch on it too. However I'm beginning to feel I'm clutching at straws. It looks as though these places on Mars are deserts. Perhaps all of Mars is too, But we must not give up yet. It might be the wrong season just here. But then perhaps the blue stuff is alive....

I have my doubts about the accuracy of any of these colour adjustments as only a calibration using a colour wheel can show the true colour. This was done before the rover left the Earth and could be the best estimate.

In the nineteenth century it was suggested by astronomers that a "wave of darkening" spread from the north pole of Mars in the Martian spring. The was speculated to be an awakening of dormant life of some kind as water spread towards the south as a Martian ice cap melted.

The Martian ice cap has been found to contain water ice but the majority of observers say that Mars is barren of life and bombarded with strong UV radiation.

Leven (private correspondence) has found that a green object exist on Mars by considering light received from the Viking lander's simple camera. The colour of this object varies with the Martian season. One of the Ovens in the Viking lander experiment gave a strong positive response. Amino acids and other organic molecules were detected by the gas chromatograph. Since only one oven gave this signal it was ascribed to be "contamination". This has not been proved.

A recent photograph of the Martian surface taken by another Martian Lander shows a rock strewn field with mostly red rocks. On these rocks on one side a different coloured region is visible on all the rocks.

If the image (of Yogi) is loaded into Photoshop and the colour adjusted these areas can be made to appear green. The adjustment is just a slight removal of blue light. This is not needed in later images, indicating that the colour of the filters used was the cause.

I do not know the true colour of the Martian light but the fact that a small shift in the amount of blue light can make such dramatic difference could mean that the colour of the photosynthetic substance in Martian plant life is slightly more blue than Chlorophyll (Like blue-green algae found on Earth).

Here above is an adjusted image. Please take the annotation with a pinch of salt, it is meant as a speculation.

The Martian organism may resemble blue-green algae. These were one of the earliest life forms on Earth. It is possible also that life on Earth was brought here from Mars by a meteorite originating from Mars after a bigger object fell on Mars knocking a bit of Mars into space. (This would mean that life on Earth and Life on Mars have a common ancestor.

The amount of Iron Oxide on Mars indicates that Mars has an oxidising atmosphere, but with a very low partial pressure of Oxygen. It is likely that Mars and Earth originally had reducing atmospheres.

That is what the Geology of Earth indicates and when Stomatolites made the Earth's Atmosphere oxidising then Ferrous Iron and Iron Metal in the rocks on Earth was oxidised to red iron oxide. This appears to have happened on Mars also.

There may be very slow living animals grazing on the Martian plant life also. (They appear to be limpets or slugs of a pink or magenta colour.

These is pure speculation on my part and is based only on the evidence given above, I have no special knowledge.

Recently (2002) the Themis area has been photographed by an orbiter and the colour photograph shows areas that look green. I isolated the a green area to eliminate the contrast effect and it still looked green. Using Photoshop it measured 41 R 51 G 16 B. Adjacent red areas had similar B and G but R was up to 115. (looks like the Martian equivalent of a tropical rainforest. If you look at the Earth from an orbiter the land masses are brown with greener areas similar to Mars.

I insert copies of photos from the NASA site. If the areas are green, then it may be life but it may also be a mineral salt such as ferrous sulphate or cupric chloride. To find chlorophyl-like compounds a spectrum will have to be done. It is only alive if it grows. I suspect that there is an micro-organism that is dust-like and grows by photo-synthesis from sunlight. I suggest that it grows very slowly. If there is a plant then it is likely that animals are eating it and oxidise the plant material using oxygen present in very small quantities in the atmosphere.

I suggest that any attempt to introduce life from Earth be left until Martian life has been studied or its existence disproved.
